Hello hello! Thanks for stopping by. I am a Manhattan based director, coach, and performer who has been working within the Broadway community for more than twenty years. I've had the great good fortune to have my work as a performer take me all over North America and throughout Europe and as a coach I've been blessed to work with some legends of the Broadway stage including Tony & Grammy winning artists. My current focus is to liberate the voices of my incredible studio community, one-on-one, and create dynamic work in an environment that is safe, nurturing, and spiritually sound. Please explore this site to see what some of my extraordinary community have to say and reach out to become a part of it.

Everything I ever wanted in a vocal coach was found with Michael. In the time you spend with him, you’re the only person that matters.

A statement concerning our current national conversation about social/racial justice and equality: My job is to support and enable you as well as grow your talent. By extension and perhaps more importantly, my job is to arm and uphold you as you face antiquated attitudes in audition spaces and industry meetings. I take this very seriously. My intention is to create specific, holistic, authentic work with my clients to challenge any perceived "traditional" character breakdown be it fostered by spoken or unspoken attitudes or language of any agent, casting director, or creative. I have learned that "typing" in our industry is historically synonymous with discriminating. It routinely excludes artists on the basis of race, gender, size, disability, or orientation. A rigorous ongoing conversation is necessary to identify and acknowledge "typing" as an active tool of white supremacy, systemic racism, and discrimination in our industry whether referenced in person or in breakdowns. My dear clients and prospective clients, it is not your responsibility to educate me. I commit to you that I am doing that work on my own and will continue to do so indefinitely. But I also want you to know that I am hungry for and welcome ANYTHING you want me to know. Anything you want me to see, hear, or understand in relation to your experience of me, this business, or your own personal journey. If my studio is anything less than an unequivocally safe space, I would consider that my greatest personal failure.
